Listen up if you are an experimental photographer or camera aficionado, 'cause this post is dedicated to you!
We've shortlisted 4 of our favourite cameras to show you how to design matching cufflinks that will stand out and look great in photos.
1. Diana F+
The Diana F+ is a twist on the cult classic 60's Diana camera, well known for producing dreamy, radiant, lo-fi images on 120 film. There are many editions and designs of the Diana F+ but our favourite is still the retro turquoise model!
We matched the colours of the Diana F+, choosing a turquoise prism cut shape set on a matt black metal base. The prism cut was chosen to parallel the geometric, retro-looking features of the camera. For a cleaner look, you may opt for a flat top square or mini pyramid shape.
2. Fisheye No. 2
Who could resist a compact fish eye camera?
A must-have for your adventures (and night adventures) with its handy built-in flash.
If you enjoy capturing your subjects in a compact circle, then a pair of 'fisheyed' cufflinks you must create! Choose a regular dome or super dome shape for a 'fisheye' effect, and match the colours to your own model accordingly.
3. Lomo’Instant Automat Dahab
Most of you Lomo fans would already be familiar with the Lomo’Instant Automat instant film camera that is fully automatic and super easy to use. We are digging the latest edition to the family, the Lomo'Instant Automat Dahab, with its jaw-dropping copper and purple cover.
To match up to its regal look, we selected a matt metallic purple flat top circle set on a brushed copper metal base. If you'd fancy a more royal look, we recommend selecting a luxurious shape such as the eight step or rose cut.
4. Yashica Electro 35 GL
Last but not least, our favourite vintage rangefinder camera, the Yashica Electro 35 GL.
Instead of matching cufflinks to the camera body, we've created cufflinks based on the accent turquoise around the rim of its SBC sensor.
With a simple trick or two, you can now create your own eye-popping cufflinks!
